I would like to share with you some of my steps that I believe all Entrepreneurs need to take to set up their online business which is free.
I spent many years dipping my toe in and looking at so many opportunities to see which would work best for me.
On many occasions I felt overwhelmed as the choices on offer were huge and I really did not know what the best option for me was. Hopefully, with my help you can get a little more clarity to choose the right option for you.
Starting an online business takes courage, hard work and long hours. To reap the rewards, you must understand that making money does not happen overnight and there are, no quick fix or get rich schemes that work. Do not allow yourself to investigate these types of opportunities as it will waste your time and most of all cost you money.
Hopefully, after reading these easy steps you will be able to set yourself up for success, to owning the lifestyle you want, and being your own boss with no set up costs.
If you can start part-time, then this is worthwhile doing so that you can build up slowly as you gain experience.

Area Of Expertise
The first thing that you need to decide is what your area of expertise is?
Then think about your passions, interests and where your strengths are.
Next think about where your knowledge lies. What are you good at doing? Education, experience and understanding of that subject is important.
A great way to break down your thoughts and really decide on that specialty is to do a Brainstorm Session.

Pick A Subject
Set a time limit e.g. 10 Minutes and set your timer
Grab a pen and paper
Throw down on that piece of paper every thought in your head no matter how random it seems.
Stop After 10 Minutes
Grab A Cup Of Tea/Coffee and relax
Then go back to your paper and start to circle like-minded words and cross out all the irrelevant ones.
Eventually, you will have in front of you maybe 1 or 2 subjects that you can now start to delve a little deeper with and create your niche.
The question that I ask myself is How Can I Help Others?
When you have found that area that you feel is right for you, then start to do some research online at other similar businesses.
Start investigating your topic and slowly you might start to see an opportunity that resonates with you and your level of expertise.
Once you have decided on your niche area of expertise the next thing that you now need to look at is what line of business you want to go into.
Options that I am going to discuss in a little more detail are as follows
Investments and Finance
This is a great arena for anyone who has their own products to sell online.
I especially like this arena if you are quite creative and have something unique that people will pay for.
There are plenty of small businesses who started off selling their products in a similar way and then went large.
Some products could include:
Children’s Clothing, Books or Toys
Adults Clothes & Shoes
Arts & Crafts
Unusually “Odds & Bits”
Refurbishment of furniture or other interesting items
Establishing your product, branding and packaging is the first step to creating your brand.
Nowadays, you have so many arenas that you can use to help sell your product online.
A few more common places that you can now go to market but there are so many more. Explore and research the best opportunities that will not charge a set up fee.
Having your own website is a great place to sell direct if you can deliver the items yourself.
How you are going to take payment for your business will be a key operative for online sales. Look into this area in a lot more detail as there are so many companies that can help such as
Take your time to find the best possible options that are right for you. Again plenty do not charge until you start to sell and just take a form of commission.
This is such a huge area that can give an investor a huge amount of opportunity to have a successful business.
My advice however is to stay away from any investment finance schemes unless this is your area of expertise.
A beginner or novice who might see the BIG money-making machine of Bitcoin and such like could easily lose a lot of money without the knowledge and understanding of the finance world.
However, if you are an expert in this area then there are so many opportunities that you can try to ensure a lot of success.
When you have built up your portfolio then you can always start up an advisory coaching business to help others.
This is what I decided to do, and I did quite a lot of research into various companies to see how they operated, and I chose Wealthy Affiliate.
Affiliate Marketing is where you sell products on behalf of other companies such as Amazon, EBay and even Under Armour. There are 1000’s of companies and as you can imagine lots of products available depending on your marketplace and your area of expertise.
I joined Wealthy Affiliate in May 2019 on the FREE starter month so that I could give it a go and find out what it was all about. Initially I left it alone as I was still unsure if I could commit to my own business.
April 2020 a midst the Corona Virus Pandemic and the Worldwide lock down, I felt it was an ideal time to take a second look. I was able to join on a reduced rate of $19 for my first month. I did the training and asked lots of questions and found I really enjoyed it. Initially I joined as a member where I pay $47 per month and I learn more than I pay out. I also like the fact that I can stop at any time if I feel it is no longer for me as I am not signed in to any contract at all.
Wealthy Affiliate gave me an opportunity to learn my trade through the amazing Training and Education that it offers. The other amazing aspect is that there is a huge community of people who are like-minded and available to speak and ask questions to, especially if you ever feel stuck or suffer from any form of overwhelm along your journey. This is just the start of my journey and as I get more involved in my business which I work hard at, I see different opportunities. This has led me to my present website where I wanted to share my experiences with others to help them with their own decisions into the world of becoming an online business entrepreneur.
How Do You Market Your Business?
Finding your area of expertise is the initial step to starting your online business and creating your brand.
When you have chosen the type of business revenue you want to be part of , sets in place your second step to running your own business.
I suppose the biggest step of all is planning your marketing strategy because without this your business will not survive let alone start to give you an income that you desire.
Marketing is the key and does not necessarily need a lot of money thrown at it. Simply put you need a plan, action, and constant updating.
Here are some marketing snippets that I believe you need which are free and can give you success which are relatively easy to use.
Logo & Branding
When I started my business, I firstly designed my logo and decided on my personal branding. It is not worth getting too overwhelmed with this as you can always change once you feel a little more established.
Your website is important and creates a trust as you start to build your brand even further. This for me is the foundation for your business that everything else stems from.
Next you need to be creating traffic to your website so that people can start to buy your products or services online. This is done through your social media platforms as well as ensuring that you are creating good honest content that other people can start to trust.
The biggest thing to remember is that you want to always have at the forefront of your mind the real reason you are building a business.

Using the necessary keywords for your content so that Google, Bing, and Yahoo etc know and understand is so important. You need your website to be read by as many people as possible and that will only happen if you are on the top pages for your content, within these search engines
I plan my marketing monthly and then look at it every week to see that I am on track with visitors and traffic. You need to keep assessing and changing where you need.

I have started to build up my usage on Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram and hopefully will start to get some good results.
My advice is to start where you feel comfortable and where your audience is located. Research into this to really get a better understanding and continuously look to improve. Where is your competition and learn from what you find.
I am so grateful that I decide to take the plunge and really work hard to become a success online. I want to help others and hopefully enjoy a better lifestyle for myself and my family.
It is important to understand that starting your own business takes a lot of hard work and you will not be an overnight success. Quick Get Rick Schemes do not work, and you will fall at the first hurdle if you believe they do.
If you follow the simple steps above, stay true to who you are and remember those you wish to serve. If you put in the effort to learn and work hard you will become a success.
